Our Story
In 1976 Joseph R. Lobb founded the Joseph R. Lobb, P.C., now known as The Lobb Law Firm. While working for Allstate Insurance Company during law school, Joseph knew he wanted to become a personal injury attorney to help people obtain a fair recovery from insurance companies. He knew he wanted to fight for accident victims to help them get the settlement they deserve. Joseph has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts. Since the start of his career, he successfully tries numerous cases to juries and successfully argues appeals.
Growing up, Cherie Lobb loved watching her dad Joseph Lobb work as an advocate for those who have been injured and their families, and as she grew, Cherie’s passion did too.
After completing her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University Law School in 1999, she decided to take a leap of faith and go to work in the field of Real Estate Law after receiving a prestigious offer in New York. It didn’t take long before Cherie realized that her heart just wasn’t in it, though. Cherie prides herself on her ties to her roots and her community, and she knew her real true passion was to represent injured victims, just as she watched her father do for so many years in Detroit.
In 2003, she came home and joined her father, and the firm’s name changed from Joseph R. Lobb, P.C. to The Lobb Law Firm, where she and her father have been helping accident victims get the money and benefits they deserve ever since.
