Katie Plegue is an Associate Attorney at The Lobb Law Firm. Katie graduated from the University of Michigan with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011. After spending a couple of years traveling and working in the hospitality industry, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of being an attorney and attended Western Michigan University-Cooley Law school on an Honors Scholarship, where she later graduated with her Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, Katie thrived academically, earning numerous Certificates of Merit for the top essays and exams in several courses. Katie also had the exciting opportunity to study international law at Oxford University for a summer semester, was an editor on Law Review for two terms, and was the proud recipient of the Trustees Scholarship from the Macomb County Bar Association in the spring of 2016. Finally, Katie graduated Magna Cum Laude and finished her legal education graduating in the top 5% of her class.
Since being admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2017, Katie has gained diversified litigation experience, working in several sectors of law, with a primary focus in her early years in family law matters, as well as criminal defense. Katie is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan in good standing, and a member of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Drawing on her experiences—from protecting and preserving your rights against criminal charges, to guiding you through a painful divorce or custody battle, to winning you high awards in your motor vehicle accident claim—Katie will handle your case with care, compassion, and integrity to make your road as smooth as possible for you.
